Proud Momma!!!

I just have to say that I am so proud of my baby girl!!! A few weeks ago the teacher asked each student what question they would like to ask an astronaut. She sent them to the local college who was sponsoring the contest. (The entire school and a few other surrounding counties participated.) Out of 700 K-4th questions only 5 were chosen and hers was one of them!!! On Nov 22 she will be in live teleconference with 3 astronauts on the international space station!!!!! How cool is that!! She is so excited....and so am I!!! So she told me last night that she could only take one person into the teleconference with her. I asked who she was gonna pick......her response was I dont know! What!!!! I told her she was gonna pick her momma that's who!! LOL! Her question was such a simple one too, but so smart for a 2nd grader! How many miles per hour does the space shuttle go?

Just thought I would brag for a second.....

Snowman Ornaments

These are some ornaments I made for the craft fair I am in in November. They are really easy to make and lots of fun. Anna Grace helped me to make them.......and we had minimal mess to clean up afterward! I got the inspiration from Rachel Funk a few years ago....I think hers are cuter though. I changed it a bit from last years version. I like this years better.......learned from my mistakes last year. Anyway, they use baby socks, clear ornaments, and whatever I could find to put inside! White cardstock rolled up, glitter, and tiny, tiny styrofoam balls are the contents. I used my cropodile to punch out the eyes and nose which is topped with stickles!! I had so much fun with my girl making these. We even dyed some white socks pink with some red jello! I think that was Anna Grace's favorite part. I will try to post more projects for the fair later!!

....on Hold

Hi everyone! My crafting is temporarily on hold for a week or so! I am in the process of getting for a very dreaded yardsale (but who doesn't dread hosting a yardsale!) and I have a few sick kids at my house......nothing major but a fever.......nonetheless they are sick. I am working on my Jingle workshop on the Go so I hope to have that posted along with a few items I am putting in a craft bazaar in November. Stay tuned....lots to come!

My secret scrapping sister is moving into a new home. I loved a flip flap book I saw on the CTMH site and thought it would be perfect house warming gift (Thanks Anna for the instructions)! So I stayed up late tonight and made her one. I LOVE the way it turned out!
Materials used: Classmate alph, treetops, Kraft cardstock, felt, and B&T from Emporium, ribbon on hand.

I am in a swap with another CTMH consultant. She chose the layout from Imagine and I chose what papers I wanted to do it in. I chose Stardust bulk papers that I had on hand. I only used 3 pieces of cardstock and 2 B&T papers. I also used Reach for the Stars stamp set with watercolors pencils. I used all the scraps except for a few small pieces. I just love the way it turned out and hope she does too!

Deadwood layouts

We went on a family vacation in May and I am starting to scrap it all. I want to do my mom a book for Christmas.......we will see! These are a few that I have started from Deadwood, SD. Carson had a blast there with all the western things. Wild Bill Hickok and Jack McCall and their guns were his favorites!

Just the beginning

Hi All! This is just the beginning of a new endeavor for me. I have followed blogs for about a year now. I love looking at the artwork and the stories of so many wonderful ladies. I have been inspired by many and hope you too will be inspired by mine.

Please be patient with me as I try this new venture!
